Imagine if we wake up to find thousands or millions of our fellow citizens piled up dead on the streets or floating in the ocean?

Imagine if the COVID-19 had not been a silent killer but had in fact been a virus that infected and killed humans instantaneously resulting in millions of dead bodies on the streets in our communities around the world?

These are not mere hypotheses but highly probable, and we humans will be responsible for such catastrophe or Armageddon. Fact based evidence till date has shown that our behavior and lifestyle are incompatible with the ecosystems that have been entrusted to us as co-habitants of planet earth. Human-induced climate change catastrophes and the visible impacts in many forms, in real time, such as the millions of dead fish in this BBC report, is a testament that we are at the precipice….

We must tune out the “Loonies-Climate-Change-Deniers” and continue the global collaborative efforts to educate communities around the world on how to protect and preserve the ecosystems that we rely on for the survival of every living species on planet earth and beyond.

I really share the thinking that the end is here, at least for my generation, baby boomers. But maybe, just maybe we can help save this planet for our grandchildren and the future generations (of human species) if there is one.

Imagine being awakened by a suffocating stench emitting from millions of dead fish in the ocean in your City . . . polluting the air and the precious water you need for your daily existence? This is not fiction, it’s an increasing reality for millions of people around the world and such was the case in an Australian town Friday morning reported by BBC News. Now the one-million-dollar question is, “Who or What’s responsible for this disaster, “The fish, The Ocean or…? ”

And just like the COVID-19 crisis, the millions of dead-fish floating in the ocean is a warning sign, a sort of metaphor. Are we listening? Are we prepared?

The quotes below are from the BCC report on the millions of dead fish in the Ocean in Australia yesterday.

“Heatwaves have become more frequent, more intense, and last longer because of human-induced climate change. The world has already warmed by about 1.1C since the industrial era began and temperatures will keep rising unless governments around the world make steep cuts to emissions.”

“. . . locals in the regional town rely on the Darling-Baaka for water supplies, “we use the river water for washing and showering so people won’t be able to use that water for those basic needs again.”
